A bulging file of testimonials from happy buyers
confirms award winning Poltair Homes’ emergence as a major new
provider of high quality homes in Cornwall, with ‘extra mile’ service to match. Within the
Company’s first five years, we have more than a dozen projects
across the county either completed, in hand or in the
pipeline.
The largest scheme so far is Victoria
Gardens at Camelford, comprising 127 new homes with twenty-two
different designs. With such a wide variety of sizes and prices,
this landmark development has been designed to echo the
architectural styles and traditional building materials of the
town’s most attractive historic properties.
The project is so attractive that eight reservations,
representing a total sales value of a million pounds, were secured
even before construction started. They were sold ‘off plan’
within just two months of the first press announcement of this
innovative ‘village within a town’ scheme, designed to create
a new community with a number of traditional features such as
village streets and greens, back lanes and, in one area, a more
formal town square.
Penvearn View at Cubert
is another outstanding scheme, with forty-one new homes ranging in
size from two to five bedrooms. Located on the edge of the
village, these new homes boast outstanding views - and walks - across the
sand dunes adjacent to Perranporth’s beaches and beyond to
Holywell Bay. Again the attractiveness of the location and house
designs meant reservations were secured ‘off plan’ well before
construction commenced.
Buyers’ initial enthusiasm for these new homes was
reinforced through visits to the show home at another Poltair
Homes’ development. Rosevale Gardens,
at Luxulyan near St Austell, where a total of twenty-five
dwellings have been created in one of Cornwall’s most beautiful
and peaceful valleys. The idyllic setting for Rosevale Gardens
belies its proximity to the facilities of St Austell and Bodmin,
plus the spectacular Eden
Project.
Also in the St Austell area, Poltair Homes plan to
build twenty-four new homes in the village of Trewoon. Taking its
name from the long established local coopering industry, Cooperage
Gardens represents an increasingly rare opportunity to buy
newly built spacious quality homes in a pleasant rural location.
Poltair Homes was launched in 1997 with a site of
twenty-five detached houses at St Breock
Gardens, Wadebridge, followed by a highly acclaimed
development of just fourteen detached houses and bungalows at Mount
Hawke and two superior new homes at Zelah.
At Lusty Glaze, Newquay, we triumphed at
national level in a major awards scheme at our first attempt.
These seven exclusive cliff top properties won the Select Luxury
Development category of the 2001 UK House-building Site of The
Year Awards.
Five years after starting our first development we have
returned to Wadebridge to build Church
View, a select development of just four reverse level new
homes with stunning views across the River Camel valley. Other
locations earmarked for Poltair Homes’ projects include St
Buryan, Penryn and a further scheme at Mount Hawke, with future
developments planned in Camborne, Perranporth and Truro.
The ability to identify,
acquire and develop such a wide variety of sites reflects the
collective expertise and experience of Poltair Homes’ management
team, a professional team probably without equal in
Cornwall. That professionalism embraces all aspects of customer
care, our
purchasers are very pleasantly surprised by the Company’s
flexibility and how far its representatives will go to help with
all their requirements both before and after their new homes have
been completed and sold.
